About Franck

Franck Pizzoferrato was born in the Latin Quarter of Paris. He started his photographic journey in 1974 at the age of 17.

He moved to England, in 1977 and developed a career as an interior designer and decorator. He raised a family and worked passionately on his skills as a visual artist.

Alternating between decorating projects and camera, with what started as a hobby, he joined the Watford Camera Club in 2003 where he learned a trick or two about post-processing which suited his style and in 2005 his work was accepted and exhibited at the International London Salon of Photography and again in 2006 and 2011.

In 2007 he joined the Royal Photographic Society and became a Licentiate.

He also started working with mezzo-soprano Birgit Remmert, being commissioned for work on her website and later the concert production photography.
It was during this time in December 2014 that he exhibited a collection of 24 canvasses in Berlin.

In 2015 Franck shot the production photos of the newly composed Opera “Iokaste” (composer Stefan Heucke) and was commissioned by the director of the Duisburger Philharmoniker (Duisburg Philharmonic), Dr Alfred Wendel, to illustrate their 2015/16 programme, creating a concept which merged images of water with musical elements.

Franck’s travels have taken him across much of Europe and the USA.

Aside from his work in production photography, he has developed over the years an eye for humanist photography evoking relatable impressions through his images.
